≥ 10 IU/mL POSITIVE
A result greater than, or equal to 10 IU/mL is considered to be POSITIVE for IgG antibody to rubella virus, and is indicative of a past infection or vaccination.

5 - 9.9 IU/mL INDETERMINATE
A result greater than, or equal to 5 IU/mL, and less than 10
IU/mL is considered INDETERMINATE. A result of indeterminate
indicates an intermediate level of rubella IgG antibodies in
the sample. Suggest retesting patient in one week.

<5 IU/mL NEGATIVE
A result less than 5 IU/mL is considered NEGATIVE. Negative results by this test do not preclude recent primary infection.
